Which option is actually cheapest
Straightforward from here. Anything that is software — malware, a mail client that stopped connecting, Windows refusing to update, a printer that vanished — gets handled remotely at $85/hr, generally the same day.
If the machine needs the bench, the $50 pick-up covers collection and return. That is the route for hardware: drives, screens, fans, anything that involves opening the case.
On-site at $130/hr is short enough from here that it is rarely the wrong answer when the problem genuinely lives in the building. We tell you which of the three is cheapest for your specific fault before you commit to any of them.
What tends to come from Devon
Devon has a lot of established housing, and established housing tends to mean network equipment that predates what is now being pushed through it. A router that was fine for email in 2016 is the bottleneck once two people are on video calls and someone is streaming.
The river valley also means some properties have outbuildings, shops or garages where people expect coverage and do not get it. That is solvable, but it needs somebody who can see the building rather than guess at it over the phone.

Can you get Wi-Fi into my shop or garage?
Often, yes. It depends on the distance and what is between the buildings, which is why it is an on-site job — anyone quoting that over the phone is guessing.
How quickly can you help remotely?
Usually within minutes. We are open every day, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and remote support is $85/hr with no travel for either of us.
Is it worth repairing an older laptop?
Sometimes not, and we will tell you that for free. A $50 diagnostic hour on a machine worth less than the repair is money you should keep.
Can you help with a home network from scratch?
Yes. New build, older house or a move — setting the network up once, properly, is cheaper than paying somebody to keep patching a bad layout. On-site at $130/hr, quoted first.

We do not stock them, but we will tell you what to buy for what you actually do, for free, and set it up and move everything across once it arrives.
