Picking the right one saves you money, so we'll say it plainly rather than steering you toward the expensive option.
Cheapest whenever the problem is software: email, malware, updates, printers, setup help. Nothing to transport, often same day, and it works anywhere. You don't have to be in Edmonton.
For anything physical: won't start, failed hardware, an SSD upgrade, a drive recovery. Our Anthony Crescent location is appointment only, so please call before coming.
Most expensive per hour, and worth it specifically when the network is the problem rather than the computer, when there's a server, or when equipment can't leave the building.
Not sure which? Just describe it and we'll tell you the cheapest thing that will actually solve it. Full rates are on the pricing page. Nothing is hidden.
Before you get in touch
You don't need to diagnose anything yourself: describing the symptom in plain language is genuinely enough. But two things speed everything up if you know them.
Whether your files are backed up. This is the single most useful thing you can tell us. If they're not, say so. It changes the order we do things in, and we'll get a copy made before starting anything with any risk to it.
Roughly when it started, and what changed. "After a Windows update", "since we moved the desk", "it's been getting slower for a year" all point somewhere different.
Quotes are free
Asking costs nothing, and you'll get a firm number before any work begins. If we think the repair costs more than the machine is worth, we'll tell you that instead of taking the job.
Can't bring it to us?
For a $50 flat fee we'll collect your device from anywhere in the Edmonton area and return it when the work is finished. That covers repairs and data recovery alike, and it's usually the sensible option if you're out in Sherwood Park, Stony Plain or Fort Saskatchewan.
